P-carb use a mini-granulate, broad spectrum, activated carbon.
Mini-granulate carbon has a much greater "surface/volume" ratio than more traditional extruded pellets. The mini-granulate type therefore adsorbs very fast gaseous contaminants and is ideal for concentrations in the PPB (Parts Per Billion) range. Rapid Adsorption Dynamics (RAD)
Broad spectrum activated carbon is used for most types gaseous contaminants. In cases where specific gaseous pollutants are found, e.g. ammonia (NH3) or hydrogen sulphide (H2S), special impregnated carbon should be used (available on request).
